A year-long programme of talks, films and exhibitions at the Mitchell Library in Glasgow opens on Saturday, 11th January. The programme is organised in partnership between Glasgow Libraries and The Alexander Thomson Society. It forms part of the Mitchell Library’s contribution to Glasgow850, commemorating the anniversary of the charter granted to the city by King William ‘the Lion’.
The talks and films are planned to run on Saturday afternoons through the year, except Easter Saturday.
The programme is free to attend, and it is hoped that most of the events will be made accessible online at the time or recorded.
The first three talks are shown below. Feel free to share this with anyone you think would find this of interest. The image is available as a PDF for printing, if wanted.
